Buy Purple Robe™ Black Locust online. This small, tough native tree is prized for its fragrant purple panicles of flowers that appear from mid to late spring. Additionally, 'Purple Robe' is incredibly tough, super hardy, and drought tolerant. This variety is relatively thornless, although the occasional thorn may be found. This tree thrives in a variety of difficult conditions and is great as a street tree, too. Use this tree to add the wonderful wisteria-like flowers without the agressive vining habit of wisteria.
