The new growth in spring emerges with a reddish tint, turning to a rich green that lasts throughout summer. In fall, its brilliant red color illuminates the landscape and persists later than many other red maple cultivars.

AUTUMN BLAZE® MAPLE Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips
Japanese Maples are moderately easy to grow and adapt to most conditions; however, they do prefer to be planted in an area that is well protected from wind, heat exposure, and drought like conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

Autumn Blaze® Red Maple was selected 2004 Urban Tree of the Year by the Municipal Arborists, and 1997 Iowa Nursery and Landscape Assoc, 'Tree of the Year'. A nearly seedless variety.
