Buy Green Panda Bamboo online. 'Green Panda' is a non-invasive clumping bamboo, very vigorous and cold hardy. This exciting bamboo makes an attractive evergreen specimen or when grouped creates an excellent hedge. New shoots appear early in spring and quickly develop into a large clump. Native to western China. Favorite food of the Giant Panda. Needs organic soils with good drainage. Thrives in sun and also tolerates shade. Use in a variety of ways and at any place in the garden, as solitary specimen, as hedges or as a screen.

I've had my Fargesia rufa 'Green Panda planted nearly 3 years and it is still alive but has hardly even grown one bit. I wanted it for a privacy screen but at 1ft high, it hardly does the trick. I had such hopes for this plant.....
