Garden Candy® All That Jazz Itoh Intersectional Peony brings true artistic flair to your garden with blooms that look like they were painted by hand. Each petal is a spontaneous composition, blending creamy yellow and blush tones with bold streaks and speckles of maroon and plum. Like a jazz solo, no two flowers are the same, making every plant a masterpiece in its own right. These medium-sized, semi-double to double blooms not only captivate with their color but also emit a light, alluring fragrance that attracts bees, butterflies, and admiring glances.

Garden Candy® All That Jazz Itoh Intersectional Peony offers more than just beauty—it's a brilliant performer, season after season. Combining the best traits of tree peonies and herbaceous varieties, 'All That Jazz' boasts upright, sturdy stems that never need staking, and lush, deeply divided foliage that remains attractive long after the blooms fade. With up to 3 blooms per stem and as many as 50 flowers per plant, this prolific bloomer provides an extended show from late spring into early summer, just when your garden needs a fresh burst of drama and color. Plus, it's deer and rabbi-resistant, mildew-tolerant, and incredibly easy to maintain.

Perfect for borders, foundations, or as a striking standalone in your cut flower garden, Garden Candy® All That Jazz Itoh Intersectional Peony is a top choice for gardeners looking to elevate their landscape with something extraordinary. Plant it where you can admire its changing patterns up close, and you'll be rewarded with years of show-stopping blooms and sculptural foliage. GARDEN CANDY® ALL THAT JAZZ ITOH INTERSECTIONAL PEONY Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips

  • Recommended Soil: Prefers well-drained, loamy soil, neutral to slightly alkaline pH (6.5 to 7.5 is ideal), amend clay-heavy soils with mushroom compost for better drainage.
  • Sun Exposure: Full sun is ideal (6+ hours daily), will tolerate light afternoon shade, especially in hotter zones, and don't forget...more sun = more blooms!
  • Irrigation Needs: Water deeply once a week during dry spells. Avoid overhead watering to prevent mildew. Mulch to retain moisture and regulate root temperature
  • Feeding & Nutrients: Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring and avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers, which promote foliage over flowers. Optional: Top-dress with some mushroom or homemade compost in fall for root health.
  • Pruning & Maintenance: Cut back foliage in late fall once it dies back naturally. No staking required—stems are strong and self-supporting. Remove spent blooms to encourage more flower production and tidiness

Interesting Notes About GARDEN CANDY® ALL THAT JAZZ ITOH INTERSECTIONAL PEONY

  • Jazz-Inspired Blooms: Named for its unpredictable, speckled patterns, every bloom looks like a jazz improvisation—no two are ever identical.
  • Hybrid History: This Itoh peony is a cross between Paeonia lactiflora 'Martha W.' and tree peony Zephyrus, blending the best genetics of both herbaceous and woody types.
  • Pollinator-Friendly: Despite its complex beauty, it's a pollinator magnet—attracting bees and butterflies with its gentle fragrance and open bloom form.
  • Color Evolution: Blooms open with a pink flush that gradually fades, revealing more vibrant maroon speckles and a creamy base as they mature.
  • Award-Worthy Lineage: Itoh peonies were first successfully bred by Japanese horticulturist Toichi Itoh in 1948—a breakthrough in peony breeding now celebrated worldwide.
