Delayed Ship Date Email

Thank you for your recent order with Sooner Plant Farm. We wanted to reach out with important information regarding the shipping schedule for your order.

We understand that you selected “Ship Now,” and it is always our desire to ship your order as quickly as possible. However, temperatures in our region are forecast to remain between approximately 95–105°F over the next 15 days.

In our experience, shipping live plants during periods of excessive heat creates a strong potential for heat stress, damage, and even plant failure during transit. For this reason, we feel it is in the best interest of your plants to postpone shipment until temperatures return to a safer level.

We apologize for the delay and understand that waiting can be disappointing. Our goal is to provide you with the best quality plants possible and give them the greatest opportunity to arrive healthy and establish successfully.

Even if temperatures in your area are cooler, your plants may travel through several FedEx hubs where excessive heat is still present. Packages can spend 24–48 hours moving through non-climate-controlled trucks, trailers, and warehouses, where temperatures can become considerably hotter than the outside air.

Because of these conditions, we are currently scheduling “Ship Now” orders for the week of September 8th, when temperatures typically begin to moderate. Our knowledgeable customer service and shipping teams will continue monitoring the forecast, and if conditions improve sooner, we will make every effort to move your order forward.
